Christmas 2013 Part 1

What a wonderful Christmas we had this year. I can't believe how quickly Christmas comes each year, and also how quickly it is over.

The Girls on Sunday in their Christmas dresses. The dresses are more of a green than this picture makes them out to be, but they looked adorable. Thank you Mom and Thank you Costco for these. I wonder how long the girls will let me match them, soon I will be buying 4 little matching dresses!

The best picture I could get of the 4 of them.... Looking Good
Christmas Eve was so fun with all the anticipation and excitement! I went all out making a huge fancy special dinner, which was of course not eaten. I should have known better and got some pizza's and root beer floats or something easy for myself. After dinner, the kids opened up a present which of course was pj's. (again the girls and the matching...)
We decided that Santa needed some freshly baked Christmas cookies so we got to work making those while watching a Christmas movie with hot chocolate. After some Christmas stories and the nativity the kids were off to bed. Mike and I relaxed, no last minute assembly this year!
Christmas morning came around 7am! Poor Leah wasn't feeling very good and wasn't quite ready to wake up, we definitely should have let her sleep, it was a rough day for her.
Santa did well this year! The kids all wrote their letters early to him and they all stuck with their initial requests! (YEA)

Sadie and Cali both wanted a 'my salon doll' from Santa. The cutest dolls with real hair that you can wash, curl, crimp and really style! They were such a big hit!
Too many presents!
Dave was a hard one this year, all he wanted was Lego... so he got alot of Lego.
Sadie wasted no time curling the hair on her 'my salon doll'.
Handsome Boys!
Glitter Presents!

After all mad chaos of opening presents, we cleaned up the boxes and wrapping as best we could and sat on the couch watching the kids play with all their loot. The kids were in heaven, there was no where to rush off to and we enjoyed a perfect morning together!

Mike's parents and sister came over later for a big turkey feast. We napped, watched new movies and went sledding. It was a perfect day!

InstaGram Recap of 2013

I am way behind on blogging, wanted to get caught up so I am adding some of my fav instgrams to recap the summer/fall of 2013!

We started the summer with a cousin trip to Utah! We stayed with Mike's sister and her family and played for a week, I continued on with the babes to Steam Boat Springs Colorado to visit Hill and Will.
Mike had to stay home to earn the bacon while we played but he did surprise me after my weeks of holidays with the Tim McGraw concert!

Favorites!

Hello, is anyone still reading this? If so I have some favorites to share! I love all things hair, makeup, clothes, beauty and have found some good ones!

Zella Live in Leggings. Nordstrom.
Who likes to wear pants when pregnant?? Not I. These leggings are so comfy, good quality and I love them. They are just like the lulu lemon leggings but at a much cheaper $$$.  They are thick and stay up and are of a higher rise. Nordstrom has these on sale when they do their semi-annual sales so they are an even better deal then! These will be worn long after being pregnant as well, so great.

Loreal Infalliable Eyeliner gel in Espresso.
This eyeliner stays on all day, it is a great dark brown color (no warmth to it) and is a new favorite!

Nars Creamy Concealer in Custard
I really like concealers, this one is very nice. Good staying power, can be used for under eye and blemishes and is a great color for me.

These gummies are so good. I like to buy them, open them and eat them a week later when they have gotten nice and hard...weird???

Pregnancy Craving... Orange Julius.
I could drink one of these a day, they taste so good to me for some reason right now. Mike will occasionally stop and get me one on his way home from work, but I usually just make them

6 ounces frozen orange juice concentrate
1 cup milk
1 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 ice cubes
Blend until smooth

Lorac Pro Palette. I think I have found the most perfect eyeshadow palette out there.
I have been lusting over the naked 1 and 2 palettes for years, finally bought one and ended up returning it.  Then I discovered the Lorac Pro Palette. This palette has half matte shades, half shimmery and great pigmentation. And I actually use the majority of the colors.

Josie Maran LIGHT Argan Oil. Got this for xmas and am obsessed. I add 4 or 5 drops to my morning moisturizer and at night as well and it really helps in the winter with dry skin.

Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara. Hidden Gem at the drugstore. I usually get it at Walgreens or Kmart. And best of all I think it is like 3 or 4 dollars.

Revlon just bitten balm stains. I love lippies and enjoy the colors Honey and Cherish. They do stain your lips without being drying so they give you a good amount of color!

The Wet Brush
This has changed our mornings. With soon to be 5 girls in the house there is lots of hair to do, this has saved me from many tears and meltdowns.  I won't use any other brush after this one!
