Canadian Victory!!!!

I titled this post after watching the USA/Canada hockey game. Way to go CANADA!!!!!
Calista is getting so big, she is rolling and is such a good sport dealing with the mauling that she endures from David and Sadie.

Sadie's favorite toys to play with, these little disney princess's are hard to keep track of, all the tiny little shoes and outfits they come with are always lost.
We have had a pretty eventful week. We watched alot of olympics, some P90x, some birthday parties, and lots of playing with the kids. This is a pretty boring blog post, but I thought I would put up some new pictures!

best buns

My sis is here visiting with her friend Kyla, we have done some fun things while they have been here, for some the highlight has been Kyla's cinnamon buns that she made yesterday!!!
Cali is getting so big, almost sitting up. She is the sweetest little thing in the world!

Kyla the master of the cinamon buns. These buns were amazing, I have never tasted cinnamon buns this divine before, they have a carmel sauce that is all over them made out of vanilla ice cream, butter, sugar... you get the idea... OHHHHHH YUM
Anticipation....
Anyways, I really enjoyed them, as I have devoted pretty much an entire blog entry to these delicious buns! We are looking forward to a lovely weekend. We hear back about the constuction loan hopefully on wednesday!!!!!!! I am so eager to start building this house!!!!!
David and Sadie are keeping busy, and keep asking when we can start riding our bikes and going to the park, they are as sick of winter as I am.

love day

Happy Valentines Day!
We had a great day today, we got up late (alarm was set for 7:30 pm instead of am....opps) Had a delish breakfast of eggs benedict courtesy of getoffyourbuttandbake.com and went to later church.
After dinner I tried to make these amazing looking cupcakes also from getoffyourbuttandbake, but it is hard to make meruange frosting. I literly tried 3 different frosting recipes before one worked. After all that we decided we like cream cheese frosting better anyways...
Fluffy White Frosting
1 cup white sugar
1/3 cup water
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
2 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla

1. combine water, sugar and cream of tarter in saucepan, heat over medium/high heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture is bubbly. let cool for a little bit
2. in a meduim bowl whip egg whites and vanilla into soft peaks, add sugar syrup slowly while beating until stiff peaks form (usually 5-7 mins)

All in all I am now tired of all this cooking and am reading to cuddle up with my valentine and watch couples retreat!

David and his friend playing hotwheels
Princess Girls!
This week has flown by, we have gotten quite abit of snow and the kids have had lots of friends over which makes the days go by much faster. Mike is still trying to get our house plans and loans in place... it is taking FOREVER! My sister is coming to visit this week, which I am so excited about. Other than that, nothing is new with our family.

A few days ago Calista had her first taste of rice cereal..She was very excited and loved it!

She knew exactly what to do with this new food... hardly spitting any out.
Cali now thinks she should have a taste of everything, she has so far gotten apples and bananas and rice and oats... yum yum.
