A Spooky Night

Happy Halloween!!!

All I can say is SUGAR RUSH!!! We started out the night with our wards trunk or treat and then Mike took the kids out to the neighborhoods. It was chilly but the babes still made a haul.

David was a very scary skeleton

Cali, the cutest giraffe ever!

Little Leah, slept through the night in her ladybug costume

Sadie kept warm in her unicorn costume!

Time for bed and a good teeth brushing!

Leah Brielle Cooper

She finally came!!!
Leah Brielle Cooper
Born Thursday Oct. 27 11:49 pm
8 Pounds 12 ounces
20 inches long
On Thursday I started feeling some contractions around 3 :30. We headed to the hospital around 6:30 and I got my epidural! It was quite a relaxed and easy labor, Mike and I just hung out in our room watching a little TV. The doctor broke my water around 10:30 and after pushing 3 times out she came... posterior... I could not believe that she weighed 8 pounds 12 ounces!!! She is big! The babes came the next morning to visit their new sister. Sadie is just a perfect little helper, and hardly lets anyone else hold her.

This picture pretty much sums up the babes reaction to the baby... they love her SO much and are very eager to help hold, burp and rock little Leah

Getting ready to go home!

Leah is very mellow, patient and VERY sweet. She is beautiful and looks like Calista but with darker hair. She slept 7 hours straight last night and is eating like a champ

9

9 years ago Mike and I were married. It has been so much fun being married to Mike, he treats me SO well and takes such good care of us! We celebrated last week, because I was sure I would have delivered by now... but wouldn't a baby be a great anniversary present TODAY????
Love you Mike!

Mesa Falls

Yesterday the babes and I rode our bikes to the park and after that we decided to take a little afternoon trip to Mesa falls with my sis. I thought maybe all this activity would help bring a baby on.

It was such a nice fall day, and the leaves were all starting to change and turn golden.

The babes enjoyed getting out of the house and running free

This little day trip didn't bring on a baby, just alot of stops for me to go to the bathroom. We better enjoy this nice weather while we have it... soon it will be TOO cold!

Still here...

Well, no baby yet... I am getting very anxious. I am dilated to a 4, but this doesn't get me too excited because I was dilated to a 4 almost a 5 with Sadie and Cali for 2 weeks before anything happened. I preregistered at the hospital, everything is ready... so anytime would be nice! This pregnancy is a little different, with my other kids I had no early contractions or pains it just hit and the baby came, but with this one, I have felt lots of contractions for the past few weeks... And I am having a tricky time coming up with the perfect name for this new little miss... top contenders include...

-Ivy

-Rylie

-Isla (Cali has already named the baby this one)

-Leah

-Marissa (mike's favorite)

I really just don't know...I want a unique yet pretty name... but I think that is what we are all looking for when naming a baby... any great suggestions????

We are staying very busy. The kids are excited for the new baby, but I think more excited for halloween. Dave helped me decorate the front door the other day.

When the first snowfall hit, I realized it was time to get all the winter gear ready. The kids all got their new coats and boots, and snowpants out and ready! I even bought a pair of CUTE sorel winter boots for myself this year! (mine are dark brown)CUTE LIL GALS!

We have had lots of activity here at the house, It is so funny to watch how differently the boys and the girls play. The girls are quiet, helpful, sweet, and soft....

The boys are LOUD, messy, dirty and full of spunk... (notice Cali fits in with the boy group...hahaha) I love when my kids have friends over, and hope they will continue to bring them as they grow up.

Mike took all 3 kids to work with him for the morning today, he told me to enjoy having a rest... what a guy!

6 years old

I have a 6 year old, that seems CRAZY!!! Today David had a birthday. I can still remember so clearly his birth and thinking I have NO idea what I am doing with this baby... Dave is a strong little guy. He is determined, competitive, kind, smart and a wonderful addition to our family. We love this little guy...He is so good to his sisters and I know he will always protect and help them.

David had a birthday party on Saturday with his friends. The babes were SO anxious to get to the party.
This year, being 38 weeks pregs, I opted to have the birthday party at Fat Cats, where everything was taken care of... no decorating, no cleaning up, no stress.... it was a good idea.
David had 10 of his best buddies there at the party and it was FUN. The kids got to bowl, play mini golf and play the bladium game. Pizza and pop was served and all I had to do was show up with my camera and the cake!
David LOVED bowling.

CAKE TIME!!!

Look at all theses cute little faces!

Present overload, it was overwhelming the amount of loot David got. Between friends, grandparents, and mom and Dad David did very well...

We got Dave a new bike. He was SO happy when he saw it.
He was pretty pumped because this is a "BIG BOY" bike. Handle brakes and a kick stand are exciting!

Today was Dave's official birthday, we celebrated with some of the family by making pizza and having Spooky cupcakes. Hope you had a wonderful birthday Dave...LOVE YOU LOTS!

Thanks to everyone who helped me with the parties and thanks to everyone for coming to show lil Dave some love!

a little crafty and some personal style

I have been trying to get all those last minute projects done that have been lying around for a few months now... I am getting a little bit more organized and am getting things cleaned out for the baby's arrival. I must be getting my "nest" ready... as Mike told me a few days ago.
October is here already and we decorated with some pumpkins we spray painted.
Sadie and Cali share a room, and in the middle of their wall is the ugly grey electrical box. It is BIG and it has been a challenge to find something cute to cover it up with that is big enough. Well a little while ago I was at the D.I and I saw this awesome picture for $10! I measured it and it would cover the electrical box.

So I painted the frame and made a memory board out of it! I tried to co-ordinate with the girls floral bedding that has lots of bright colors and I think it turned out great!!!

The project I am working on now is painting an old sofa table an olive green color and distressing it, My mom picked it up for $10 so I really can't go wrong with it!

Last Friday some friends and I got together with the kids and filled up the pool and played outside in swimsuits while the moms sat under an umbrella to avoid the heat...

Today, 6 days later this is what we are doing becuase it is SNOWING outside. It is freezing, and dreary and depressing.... I can't imagine that winter is already here. Where is the beautiful fall season that I LOVE????

Here I am at 37 weeks. My quest to attempt to look stylish while being this pregnant is almost a lost cause. It seems as though NOTHING fits, all the shirts I used to wear when I was this pregnant are too short, I hope they have shrunk over the years and that I am not getting bigger each time... All of my shoes are a little tight, and the only thing I want to wear is leggings, but my attractive compression stockings leave an unflattering line where they stop on my thighs... But I am enjoying my last few weeks of pregnancy. I really do LOVE being pregnant, I feel so good and love feeling the baby move and I love the 'glow' that all that extra blood gives you!

A spooky trip

We have been wanting to go to the straw maze for a couple of days, but something always came up. So last night we decided to go, even though we knew that the maze was "haunted" on Friday and Saturday nights. We figured if we got there early enough we could be done before all the SPOOOKS came out. We arrived and were greeted by a nice camel and lots of straw for the babes to play on!

The babes were really excited to go in!!!!
As it started to get darker, and as we found ourselves totally lost in the maze, the babes became a little nervous. Soon we began to see the "SPOOKERS" running around ontop of the maze. And the babes became terrified.... David's face perfectly captures the fear....
It was a great maze, and I even got a little nervous when we had to crawl through dark tunnels to find our way. Cali really found this clown interesting... she was actually quite friendly towards him, even though he popped her balloon.

Here is one of the spookers, they would jump right over top of us, but I made sure to tell them "Please don't scare us, we have little kids".... and once they saw that, they were 'kind' spookers who would give creepy waves to the kids.
OHHH...scary....

Surprisingly on the way home the babes told us how much fun they had, and how AWESOME the maze was. No one had any nightmares, and a good time was had by all!
