3 against 2... girls rule

I had my ultrasound today, and many of you know I was not going to find out the sex of the baby. Since we have one of each I thought it would be so fun to have a surprise, but in the exam room we totally caved... The anticipation was too much! I was surprised and thrilled to find out that we are having a GIRL!!!!
Our ultrasound tech was amazing, and spent a long time with us trying to capture the perfect face shot, as you can see she took about 15 pictures, but that little stinker had her face tucked to her chest and we couldn't get a good look.

Spring and a death

Could spring really be here? It is April, but we have been treating everyday like an 85 degree day in the middle of August. We have broken out the sprinklers, water slides, bikes, and popsicles! I LOVE IT....Here is David and his best friend Mya warming up
The kids played for HOURS on this fun slide.

We went and had lunch with Mike one day, he is digging a pipeline out in the middle of nowhere. David LOVED driving the big excavator!
And today we had a fun adventure (not really) David went to the dentist for the first time. He is all smiles here in this picture after we left the office, but during the visit you would have thought we were torturing the kid. What drama. I fear that David has a dead tooth. Right before we left for California David and Mike were wrestling and David bumped his teeth pretty hard. They weren't bleeding or anything, and then a week or so later while in California, I watched as his tooth started getting darker and darker... The dentist said it could just be bruised and it could go back to normal, but he wasn't that hopeful. Of course it is his front tooth that has turned a lovely greyish color... oh well, at least it is a baby tooth.

are these kids ours?

No question that David is a little clone of his dad.
Here is mike when he was little.
People always look at me, then my kids and ask where the blond hair comes from... but i used to be pretty light myself. Sadie and I look alot alike when I was little.
Me
I can sometimes see myself in David and Mike in Sadie, they are a perfect mix. I can't wait to see who this next one looks like!

Why did we leave?

We have returned from a glorious 2 weeks in Palm Desert. We had a great time enjoying 90 degree weather. The whole fam was there minus Bird who is in Virginia. The kids loved the amazing parks, the pool and the I loved having all the babysitters around! I am posting probably too many pictures for most people to care about, but I couldn't help myself as I sit here in the Burg in 34 degree temps. For some reason I have no pictures of Mom or C, I think they were always the ones taking the pictures. We spent many nights at the 'turtle' park having picnics, playing in the sand and on the play equipment.
Hill and I spent alot of time working on our tans.

The Thursday night street fair in Palm Springs. We go every time we are there and see the same things, but it is fun.

Sadie beside this massive Great Dane, my future dog one day as soon as I have a yard.
David and Sadie spent so much time in the water they got pretty confident. David could actually swim about 12 feet to me.

There are a ton of lemon trees all over. Sadie, David and Mike displaying our pickings.

Mike and I got together with some of our good friends Erin and Romney for a delish dinner and after we ditched the sleeping kids and went to a movie.
