Memorial Day Adventures!

On Memorial day we were busy. In the morning I took the kids to the spray park. It was so busy and the kids were so excited that it was finally open. After lunch we packed up the kids and drove out to the civil defense caves just outside of Rexburg with some friends. They were a little tricky to find, but definatly worth going to.
The caves were freezing and the ground was very slick with ice. It was interesting with a few pregnant ladies and little kids trying to manuver through the rock.

After the caves we stopped at the Sand dunes to play. We had never taken the kids there before and after all the running up and down the huge sand hills they were worn out.

We had a great, memorable day!

Mem. day weekend

On Thursday night we headed up to the cabin in Island Park. Mike had to do a few dust control jobs on Friday so the kids and I hung out with him. Later we went into West Yellowstone for dinner and some fun. We hit the shops, walked the streets and went to the Bear and Wolf discovery center.
Enjoying some yummy milkshakes at Canyon Street Grill.

The amazing buffalo display in West. They had 36 buffalo's that were painted by different artists to be auctioned off in August.

There were some pretty impressive grizzly bears at the discovery center. One was named Sam who weighed almost 1000 pounds. The kids loved watching them eat.
On Saturday we went into Yellowstone National Park with Mike's fam. We had a shopped, had a picnic, and went to see Old Faithful.

David and Sadie conned Grandpa Cooper into buying them these remote control toys, along with some yellowstone shirts, hats and sunglasses. They sure know how to work their Grandpa's (those big softies). We had a blast running them

Hunger games and 25 weeks!!!

If anyone is looking for a really good book to read, this is the one! I got it on Tuesday morning and was finished reading it by Wednesday night . I couldnt' put it down!!! It is about a girl who was picked from her city to compete in the annual 'hunger games' and the last one alive is the winner. The second book in the series is due to come out in September I think.

And a picture of me at 25 weeks... Yesterday this was taken, but I feel bigger than this picture makes me look. I am feeling great and am just realizing how HOT this summer is going to be. David is playing at a friends house and Sadie is napping so I better go and make the most of my free time!!!!

fun in the sun

We spent most of the day outside today. It was beautiful weather and all the kids were out.

David and Sadie are so lucky to be surrounded by so many cute little friends their own age. The kids played all day and the all the moms got to sit down for awhile in our lawn chairs!

a good day

Yesterday (sat) we had the greatest dinner... because it was a cafe rio! Yes, Idaho Falls has a new resturant. This is exciting news (sorry Idaho Falls and Rexburg, but there are very few good resturants here) We planted our flowers, tomatoes and strawberries in the afternoon and then went and picked Mike up from his job and headed into town to eat.

I had a delish salmon taco, Mike had the pork taco. YUM... and free kids quesadillas.

After dinner David spotted a massive monster truck from across the parking lot that we had to go look at. It was HUGE.
Today was beautiful, I am so excited for nice weather finally!!! I am sure this week will be filled with snow cones, sprinklers, bike rides and moms outside sitting on their blankets soaking up the sun. I can't wait!
Here is a picture of David with his "counting treats". When Sadie naps, David and I try to learn our numbers and letters and things, this is the best way for him to visualize numbers... it really works!
Sadie showing off such a pretty smile.

Mesa Falls and Mothers Day

On Saturday Mike was working so I tagged along with some friends of ours and we went to Mesa Falls for the afternoon. It was my first time there, the kids and Ihad a great time. It was so pretty up there and the kids loved running free.

The boys looking bored with the numerous pictures I was taking.
The girls always gave me a smile!

On Mother's Day Mike and the kids spoiled me. They got up and made me a wonderful breakfast and treated me like royalty all day. That night we went to Mike's parents house for dinner and then went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Tucker and Grandma Cooper. I hope everyone had a nice mothers day!

My big boy

I just dropped David off at his first official day of preschool at BYUI. He woke up early with Mike, had a big breakfast and was so excited to go. He walked right into the building holding his teachers hand, it was so cute. Of course I had to take a picture of the occasion, and poor little Sadie Lady was so dissapointed that she didn't get to go to school with him. My big boy is growing up!

what we've been up to...sleeping

We have all been under the weather this past weekend. On Saturday I thought I had swine flu or somthing I was so sick, Poor little Sadie is battling a wicked cold, Mike felt drained and tired, and David definatly hasn't been his normal self. So we have been doing alot of sleeping, and watching movies. Today we are all feeling WAY better. It is 7:00 and my kids are headed to the bathtub and then to bed!
David fell asleep today on the couch, which is very unusual for him to just crash randomly.
