Christmas countdown

Everyday David wakes up and the first thing he says to me is..."Mom is Santa coming today?" Poor little guy is so excited he can hardly stand it!
Sadie of course really has no idea who santa is, but she does know how to undecorate my tree 10 times a day... Non-breakable bulbs are a necessity in our house.

We are all getting so excited for christmas, I can't believe there are only 5 days until christmas! I am totally done with all my shopping and I don't know if I can make too many more batches of christmas goodies. I am ready for christmas to come!

Sadie has been very interested in the potty lately, and she has amazed me by going in it on several occasions. She takes my hand and leads me to the potty and tries to get her pants off, then I put her on and she goes. Number 2 every time (sorry to be too detailed). I guess this means I should probably get serious about this, but I am thinking I should wait until after christmas is over and we are back at home??? We are going up to the cabin in Island Park for christmas, it will be great to have all of Mike's family there to enjoy! After we hope to find some warmer weather in Palm Desert.

This past week we have been staying inside and cooking and baking. David and Sadie are great helpers in the kitchen always wanting to help measure ingredients and frost cookies. We finally got some snow on Monday, now it actually looks like christmas! Mike is still busy working, but says he is ready for a break! We will be spending christmas here in Idaho this year, all of Mike's siblings will be home, we can't wait to see everyone. After christmas we hope to see my family either in Palm Desert or Calgary, not sure which yet... All of my christmas shopping is done, (it really didn't take alot of time this year, because nobody is getting too much...) David is at such a fun age this year, he actually knows that Santa is coming and his favorite thing is to help me wrap presents! I can't believe christmas is only 2 weeks away.

Yesterday the kids and I stopped by the mall to see Santa! David was so excited and jumped right up on his lap, but Sadie took one look at him and screamed! I think every year I have been in the picture holding someone because they were afraid!
